The terrible holocaust

After the Holocaust, conversion is sanctification of Hashem

The years of the terrible holocaust that passed over our nation were years Blasphemy and the humiliation of the honor of Israel, in which the verse "For by you we were slain all day long we were considered sheep for the slaughter" (Psalms 44). The Holocaust was a denial of the very existence of the God of Israel, and a contempt and mockery of his Torah, and everything that was even just "in the name of God" was led to the crematoriums to be slaughtered , when the rest of the world sees and is silent and does almost nothing, and they say "Why will the Gentiles say, 'Where is their God?'"

And not only during the Nazi holocaust, but throughout the generations when there were terrible persecutions and exterminations and the killing of Jews for no injustice by forcing them and only because of their Jewishness. Those who are killed for that blasphemy are called dead for the sanctification of God, and their spiritual rank cannot be assumed.

Among the reasons written by the great scribes over the generations that it is appropriate to ease the matter of entry into Judaism and conversion, were mainly the prevention of assimilation and intermarriage, and the loss of parts of the people of Israel, and indeed these reasons are very worthy of easing conversion within the framework of the Halacha, and in particular in the Land of Israel, where, due to the blessed Kibbutz Galouyt, quite a few mixed families They immigrated to Israel and leaving them that way is a danger to Judaism.

However, in our generation after the terrible holocaust in which the name of Israel was desecrated, it must be said that the mere increase of the Jew by entering Judaism "Kidush Hashem" And a correction to that blasphemy, "Under your being desolate and hated and there is no passing away, and your death as the genius of the world from six generations to generations" (Isaiah 9), and if Judaism was despised and humiliated to the ground during the Holocaust, then the rise of Israel, and the demand of many to join Judaism and infect God's people is the sanctification of God.

This idea has already been mentioned by several greats, such as Rabbi Price in his book Mishnat Avraham, Rabbi Yosef Renassieh, Rabbi Yitzhak Huberman and others, and it is logical and necessary.

In the Jerusalem Talmud in tractate Kiddoshin (PD 51) it is stated: In the time of King David, as described in the book of Samuel (21 151), there was a famine in the land for three years, and David asked the Urim and Thummim about it, and they told him that it was caused by the blasphemy of God in his actions of King Saul, who killed seven of the Gibeonites while killing Nob, the city of the priests, and G-d demanded the insult of the Gibeonites who were "dwellers in drag", that we should not convert for the sake of Heaven, and when the correction is made, it will become the sanctification of God and as a result we will convert another hundred and fifty thousand, Yabmot (p. 9 12). And the Jerusalemite concludes there "Greater is the sanctification of Hashem than the blasphemy of Hashem".

There is no doubt that the very fact that many people come and seek to convert properly is a correction to the past, and the sanctification of God is great.

It is precisely after the Holocaust that arms and hearts must be opened to those who wish to be part of that persecuted people who despise it and its religion and Torah, and those who wish to be part of the Jewish people in terms of And in the name of Israel he will call (Isaiah Med. "That even for that is enough for them!" [In the words of the Rebbe of Lublin in Zdakat HaTzadik C. N.D.].

When they wish to immigrate and settle in the land in which they fulfill the mitzvah of settling the land, which is said about it: "The people who live in it will bear iniquity." (Isaiah 33). as per that the yeshiva of Eretz Yisrael weighed against the entire Torah. Tosefta, foreign work (P.H. 12). And our sages said that the land of Israel is lovely because it brings the Grimm from the Grimm tract (PA 111).

and accept and uphold them The commandment of the word In love, for which 13 covenants were made. And our sages said, "A word against the entire Torah is great" (the beginning of the Treatise on Nedram). And thanks to the mitzvot of circumcision, we were granted the inheritance of the land, blessings (Page 88), for which it is said: "And with you all the righteous will forever inherit the land."

And in particular those servants in the Israel Defense Forces, making a great sacrifice to the point of risking their lives, or with the rest of the other security forces, and saving Jews, and even if it was only one soul, about whom our Rabbi, the owner of the Book of Miracles, a consultant, wrote in his book: Whoever sustains one soul from Israel is like this he raised a whole world, and like these they said (Brachot 27 , a) Aplo Rikanin who in Israel fulfill the commandments of Carmon. "Because there are many of the Israelites who appear to be empty vessels, but they have in their hands this commandment of saving Israel in this They are decisive and surpass the wise and the great in Israel." Those who sacrifice their lives for the sake of the Jewish people and Judaism are truly the temples of God.

The meaning of the establishment of the State of Israel is that by the grace of God we have remained sheltered from fire, and thus came the restoration of Jewish honor and pride, the Torah has once again become in the Land of Israel the most important center in the whole world, it is a correction for that blasphemy and in it the sanctification of Hashem for the eyes of the nations.

And it should not be ignored that the success and prosperity of the state, to the eyes of the nations, who said, "Go and perish from the Gentiles and the name of Israel will no longer be remembered", and therefore see once again the hatred of the Gentiles and the anti-Semitism that rears its head and increases, and as the state grows in Kibbutz Gholoy, and Israel makes an army, so the hatred of the nations increases , and as in Spain or Germany when the Jews were very prosperous the persecution and hatred increased, in Spain came the terrible divorce and in Europe the terrible holocaust, and in our time anti-Semitism is almost everywhere, even in our great friend America.

The waves of immigration will increase and the kibbutz of the exiles will increase, because there is and will not be any real rest for the Jews in the Diaspora at all, this will bring in its wings many in need of conversion, this should be seen not only as a mission and a command to return them to Tire from their quarry, but for the sanctification of God, because those who come in this era of anti-Semitism show that they are coming there heaven, to fulfill the prophet's prophecy "And many nations went and said, Go, and we will go to the mountain of the Lord" (Isaiah 2).

Therefore, the increase of the Jewish people must be seen as a great commandment that includes sanctification of Hashem, that they should be accepted for conversion with open arms, "and greater is sanctification of Hashem than blasphemy."
